“The advertisement is deceiving. The outdoor pool looks nothing like the picture (it’s small and dark). The waterpark is actually at a next door hotel. The cabins DO NOT have a laundry service available. I was told to go to the Ramada Inn across the street to do our laundry. The staff was unfriendly. They acted like we were inconveniencing them when we arrived. The room smelled of mold, the bathroom floor was coming undone and the carpet was filthy. We travel a lot, abroad and in the United……

“It was an okay hotel it served its purpose. We stayed 2 nights. My room was clean, but the hallways are dark and dingy pretty outdated, it’s a little eerie and hallway has a weird smell. I had a balcony but the balcony had cobwebs all over and felt kinda gross we didn’t end up sitting on the balcony at all it needed wiped down all over. The view was really pretty though, right in front of the lake. The beach was clean, lots of families on it. No fridge in the room, but there was a microwave. I……

“The manager got us into a cottage when we arrived, very nice man. Cottage right on the beach, very quaint and rustic. Definitely be back again.”

“Pros: Very nice place in a beautiful area with large lakefront rooms a few minutes from downtown Mackinaw City. They have bonfires & smores at sunset on their beach, and a basic breakfast buffet in the morning. Cons: Room was a musty, breakfast was just ok, coffee was sub-par.”

“Dingy, dirty, hot. room smelt like a mix of sweat and chlorine. Given a room right above the water park. Very outdated. No breakfast provided even though booking said breakfast. Waterpark is grimey. outdoor pool aging and murky water. Said beach access right across the street but its not. Location is convenient in the main downtown area. Overall not worth the money and lots of false advertising. Not even remotely close to the experience I thought we had booked”
